Justice suffers as COVID shuts down trials

“This virus has crippled the courts,” says the veteran defense attorney Bill Price. “There are no jury trials. We don’t have the ability to meet face-to-face with prosecutors to hammer out plea deals. With the economy, people simply have less money to spend on attorneys. Everyone is being hit hard by this.”
